Texan Varsity Softball 2009 - 5-5A DISTRICT CO-CHAMPIONS!!!
CONGRATULATIONS 5-5A DISTRICT CO-CHAMPIONS!!!! FOR THE THIRD YEAR IN A ROW NORTHWEST SOFTBALL is the 5-5A DISTRICT CHAMPIONS! EVERYONE IS SO VERY PROUD OF EACH ONE OF YOU! WAY TO REPRESENT YOUR SCHOOL AND YOUR TEAM! Congratulations on a great season. It didn't end the way we would have liked but again we are all very proud of you girls! Hold your heads up high and be proud of your accomplishments. Best of luck to all of our seniors! It was a great year and we will miss you! Remember you will always be a Northwest Texan! Congratulations to the following members of the 2009 Northwest Varsity Softball Team! Erinn Jayjohn - Northwest Booster Club Scholarship winner! Laura Macky - Northwest Booster Club Scholarship winner! The Northwest Texan Softball Program has seen much success. Finishing in the State final four in '05 & '06. In '07 5-5A District Champions & 5A Region 1 Semi-Final Champions. The 2008 team won a second straight 5-5A District Championship & made a run in the playoffs to become 2008 Area Champions.
2009 NORTHWEST softball has continued it's winning tradition by claiming the 2009 District 5-5A Co-Championship. Being a part of high school softball takes dedication and practice. The coaches at Northwest believe that a positive team-oriented attitude and a desire to give your best on and off the field exemplifies our program. Winning isn't everything, but wanting to win is - Vince Lombardi. Players win games, teams win championships - Bill Taylor. When you have confidence, you have fun. And when you have fun, you can do amazing things - Joe Namath.
